Build Features

The site has some neat animations throughout providing a nice sense of life and motion. The homepage’s metal symbols, seated just below the parallaxed hero image, look a little like dials on a control dashboard.

Throughout the site, content is presented on the page with a mild theatrical flourish: fade up and slide into place.

Intuitive user controls add a little fun to the project overview page as users can interact with the map markers to see more detail in the side accordion widget. Inversely, when a country in the side accordion widget is selected, the map markers update to show the project title and link to the project page.

Custom Plugins

Announcements – Corazon’s Investor centre and homepage data is driven by a custom plugin allowing site administrators to upload pdf documents into categories of announcement types. Announcements are easily filtered by a robust shortcode pulling announcements by category type and limit, enhanced with pagination and an ability to filter by publication year.

People – Key Corazon personnel are managed via the People plugin which enables novel ability to manage the teaser and full view data in one screen. The teaser is listed using standard wordpress query loop which shows the feature image, excerpt and read more link. when the read more link is clicked, the site loads the individual’s profile into a popup modal window for a seamless user experience.

Webcasts – Simplified input interface allows site administrators to enter a title, publish date and url leading to an externally host such as Vimeo or Youtube. As per the design, front page records are shown with an embedded video thumbnail, whereas records listed on the Webcasts page in the Investor Centre are just a title & date with a hyperlink to the hosted video.
